e-BLASTS 101
E-Blasts is a term used when multiple emails are being sent with one message. In the cases of ministries, e-blasts may be weekly, monthly or otherwise. Lots of churches use this method of communication to reach out to members as well as guests who have visited or attended ministries at the church.
Some growing churches use e-blasts to share inspirational messages, devotions, announcements about events, invitations to special events, updates on the ministry and other information.

Email is convenient and an effective way to reach out or publicize worship services or events. It can also be a way to keep connected after an event is over. Once people have attended a ministry event, Vacation Bible School or a worship service, make sure you have their email to contact them again. Research shows people may need to hear from us at least 7 times to connect with the message. This section shares ways to communicate via email. CLICK on the sample to see an explanation of each tool.
e-Vite
Evites are email invitations. You may hear us refer to them as e-blasts too. Once you set up an email database and a method to distribute bulk emails at one time, you can start sending evites. Depending on the message, evites can be invitations to worship services, special events or simply meeting reminders. You may need a publishing software to create your graphic design and e-vite. Some email marketing services come with template designs that you may send as your evite.. The key essential is that you have an email database and an email service to send bulk emails. Some church website templates come with this as an option. Here’s a sample of e-vite
