Neighborhood Blasts…Matter to Everyone

Have you ever walked in the neighborhood of your church? Now may be a great time to get comfortable shoes, gather a group and walk the community. Last Saturday, I lead a group of members who wanted to do a neighborhood blast for the summer activities at their church. We started at 11 am and ended close to 1:30 pm. We began with prayer as we started this journey.

Does a church brand identity help communicate? Before I answer this question, let us first get a better understanding of branding. For many, branding is a word associated with consumer products like Coca Cola or McDonald. These companies use brand identities to help shape the image of a product in the consumers’ mind. Brands also help to reveal what the product promises. For example, when people see the golden arches immediately they know what to expect. Brand identities are used as communication tools. As people see our church buildings, websites, printed communications and even the signs on the outside of the church, can brands help communicate about the church?
